Drew Barrymore fans may recognize the Boxer Rebellion from this summer’s rom-com Going the Distance, but soon everyone will be familiar with the Rebellion as the boys gear up to release their third album, The Cold Still. The foursome, based in the UK, has made a name for themselves through their moving music and the power behind their live shows. To make The Cold Still the band collaborated with legendary music producer Ethan Jones, who has worked with Kings of Leon, Rufus Wainwright, and Paulo Nutini, just to name a few. Released on the band’s own label, Absentee Recordings, the newest album contains ten new tracks including the first single “Step Out of the Car”. While the Boxer Rebellion have kept this much anticipated album mysterious, the snippets they have let slip promise the band’s best work yet.
The Cold Still will be available both digitally and on CD on February 7th, 2011 in the UK and Europe and February 8th in North America.
