The fifth album from this Italian outfit, Good Luck calls to mind Achtung Baby-era U2 brought up on Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Ulver, Karate, and isolated from pretty much anything the mainstream has vomited forth since 1981. If one were unable to read copyright dates one might think that this is some lost recording from the classic days of Factory records––lucky for us it’s not. This here band is living, breathing, and slapping out records at a rate that may be glacial for some but instead shows a great deal of care’s given to each record. The eerie “Rome” and the audacious “Spurious Love” are two of the best, among eight songs that show this group’s intellect and diversity. It’d be a genuine surprise were this to catch on with a mass American audience but stranger things have happened
