The District Attorneys gained a lot of attention with 2012’s Slowburner, and the band ran with that momentum, playing show after show after show (and even finding time for some side projects). Now they’re setting their sights on the follow-up: That forthcoming effort (no date as of yet) will be called Hip Calculated, and the band has already hunkered down to record the songs they’ve written. “Savoir Faire” is our first glimpse of the new material, and if it’s any indication of what Hip Calculated will be like, we’re in for some good listening. Recorded at Standard Deluxe in Waverly, Alabama by Glossary’s Joey Kneiser, this acoustic take not only promises great things, but it also acts as a nice “thanks for riding with us” to everyone who enjoyed Slowburner so much.
