Summer is a time for large-scale music festivals and concerts. From the smallest venue to the largest empty fields full of high-energy music lovers, one can find just about any artist she likes on stage during the toasty summer months. However, for those unable to leave the cozy confines of their homes (or unwilling to brave large crowds of overexcited young people), Yahoo! Live has the answer.
Yahoo Live is a program that came to be out of a union between Yahoo! Screen and Live Nation. The extensive series will stream concerts right to your computer or mobile device; these concerts, spanning artists such as Ingrid Michaelson, Yes, and Justin Timberlake, are captured live at some of the nation’s most distinct venues. (English singer/songwriter David Gray, for example, will be on Yahoo! Live on August 9th for his concert at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium.) There will be concerts on Yahoo! Live for 365 days, with one concert each day. Any music lover will find it easy to have their concert tastes sated, as Yahoo! and Live Nation have already amassed an impressive roster.
One example of this is OK Go, whose upcoming concert at the Deluxe at Old National Centre, Indianapolis, IN, will be screened through Yahoo! Live on August 14th at 8:45 PM Central. As with all Yahoo! Live concerts, though the show will be streaming live, if you miss it while it is happening, you can still tune in to the show for 24 hours after its live stream at Yahoo! Live’s site.
If you happen to miss a show, however, fret not. With a whole year’s worth of daily concerts, one is never going to be in want of the live experience.
