New York synth-pop trio New Myths boast a polished, stylish sound on their debut full-length Give Me Noise that belies their relative newness as a band, having joined forces just in 2012. Of particular note from Give Me Noise is the track “False Gold”, which was selected by none other than Lou Reed for a playlist on Sirius XM. Elsewhere, there are hints at Bat for Lashes-like drama, only set to driving keyboards and electric guitars. PopMatters premieres New Myths’ Give Me Noise, which releases on 14 October on the band’s own Taming Ghosts label.
