Amanda Hayes is an associate professor of English at Kent State University Tuscarawas. Her work focuses on rhetorical history as it intersects with modern cultural and gender-based perceptions. Her published work includes the book The Politics of Appalachian Rhetoric in 2019 and the article “I Have Not Always Shown Humility: Reclaiming Anne Boleyn’s Rhetoric” in Peitho, the journal of the Coalition of Feminist Scholars in the History of Rhetoric and Composition (Spring, 2020).
