Andrew Urie is an independent scholar who recently completed his PhD in Social and Political Thought at York University (Canada). His research interests include cultural political economy, literary studies, and textual sociology. He has published in Dialogue: The Interdisciplinary Journal of Popular Culture and Pedagogy; Fast Capitalism; and Americana: The Journal of American Popular Culture 1900 to Present.
