Selen is a San Francisco-based arts writer. Her work takes a critical and dedicated interest in environmental architecture, 60’s-70’s film, and contemporary art and design. Her recent publications include Bayou Magazine, Bright Lights Film Journal, Whitewall Magazine, PopMatters, Spring Journal, Monday Journal, and the Penn Review of Philosophy. She is a writer at Whitewall (New York) and PopMatters (Chicago) and an editor at BUJ (Berkeley). Her upcoming projects include a monograph on Arcosanti to be developed at the Bread Loaf Environmental Writers’ Conference. She was educated in philosophy at the University of California, Berkeley.
