Travis Alexander is a postdoctoral fellow in medial humanities at Rice University. His writing focuses on relations among health, race, sexuality, and literature. It has appeared in American Literature; boundary 2; symploke; Literature, Interpretation, Theory; and the Quarterly Review of Film and Video. His book manuscript is titled 'A Glamorous Nightmare: HIV/AIDS and the Viral Power of Whiteness'.
