With the start of any new year comes the hope that things will be better culture-wise; that the masses will awaken to and reject the drek that’s promoted year after year and instead reward good, honest artists with the adoration they deserve. This, along with wizards, magick with a “k”, confetti, and a media bonfire is the gist of the new video from art-pop band the Veda Rays. The promo also features a fitting guest appearance from DJ Scott Hardkiss, a musical trend-setter who the powers that be should want on their side (his remix of the Flaming Lips’ “Do You Realize?!” — included as a track on the official single — pushed the Lips into the pop realm and made Hardkiss an instant luminary in the indie rock remix world).
